*Responsive Call to Worship    (Psalm 78:4-8)

We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD,

and His might, and the wonders that He has done.

He established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a Law in Israel,

which He commanded our fathers to teach to their children,

That the next generation might know them, the children yet unborn, and arise and tell them to their children,

So that they should set their hope in God and not forget the works of God,

            but keep His Commandments;

And that they should not be like their fathers,

a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation whose heart was not steadfast,

whose spirit was not faithful to God.

*Hymn #45                            “Crown Him with Many Crowns”

*Profession of Faith - Westminster Shorter Catechism Q? 5,6

Are there more Gods than one?

There is but one only, the living and true God.

How many persons are there in the Godhead?

            There are three persons in the Godhead; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost;

and these three are one God, the same in substance, equal in power and glory.

Affirmation of Holy Scripture - Psalm 119:126,127

It is time for the LORD to act, for Your Law has been broken.

Therefore we love Your Commandments above gold, above fine gold.

*Hymn                                   “Let Us Love and Sing and Wonder”                                       Newton, Taylor

1. Let us love and sing and wonder Let us praise the Saviors name

He has hushed the Law’s loud thunder He has quenched Mount Sinai’s flame

He has washed us with His blood (3X) He has brought us nigh to God

2. Let us love the Lord Who bought us Pitied us when enemies

Called us by His grace and taught us  Gave us ears and gave us eyes

He has washed us with His blood (3X) He presents our souls to God

3. Let us sing though fierce temptation Threatens hard to bear us down

For the Lord, our strong salvation, Holds in view the conqueror’s crown

He, Who washed us with His blood, (3X) Soon will bring us home to God

4. Let us wonder grace and justice  Join and point to mercy's store

When through grace in Christ our trust is  Justice smiles and asks no more

He Who washed us with His blood (3X) Has secured our way to God

5. Let us praise and join the chorus Of the saints enthroned on high

Here they trusted Him before us  Now their praises fill the sky

Thou hast washed us with Thy blood (3X) Thou art worthy Lamb of God

6. Yes, we praise Thee, gracious Savior  Wonder, love, and bless Thy Name.

Pardon, Lord our poor endeavor  Pity for Thou knowest our frame

Wash our souls and songs with blood (3X) For by Thee, we come to God

Sermon                                 “God’s Greatest Loves: He Loves All He Does”                    Pastor John W. Uhl

Confessing Our Need of Christ Together and Individually

   Gracious Heavenly Father, we are sinners in Your sight;

yet, in Christ, You have reconciled us to Yourself.

Shamefully, we have experienced Your amazing grace toward us,

but we have not loved You with our whole hearts

   nor our neighbors as ourselves.

We confess that we often honor Your Son with our lips

when our hearts are far from You.

Forgive us for our hypocrisy and formality in religion.

Forgive our neglect of Your Word, Your direction, and Your priorities.

Forgive us for tolerating sin in the knowledge that grace abounds.

The worship that You do not despise

comes from a broken spirit and contrite heart.

Therefore, according to Your steadfast love,

wash us, cleanse us, and put new and right spirits within us

that we may bring glory to Your name, through Jesus Christ we pray.

Assurance of the Lord’s Pardon   (1 Peter 2:24,25)

He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness.

By his wounds you have been healed. For you were straying like sheep,

but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
