March 14, 2021 Sermon Outline

“Jesus is God’s Gospel”

Pastor John W. Uhl * March 14, 2021 * Fourth Sunday in Lent

6 This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.

7 Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God's grace, which was given me by the working of his power.

8 To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

9 and to bring to light for everyone what is the plan of the mystery hidden for ages in God, who created all things, - Ephesians 3:6-9

    1.  The Gospel We Preach is a Mystery (3:7,9).

This was according to the eternal purpose that he has realized in Christ Jesus our Lord, - Ephesians 3:11

4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love

5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, - Ephesians 1:4-5

in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him. - Ephe 3:12

51 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. - 1 Corinthians 15:51-52

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways! - Romans 11:33

who does great things beyond searching out, and marvelous things beyond number.  - Job 9:10
