Responsive Call to Worship    (Psalm 2:10-12)

Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth.

Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled.

Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

Corporate Prayer of Confession with Individual Prayers of Confession

Awesome and Compassionate God, You have loved us with unfailing, self-giving mercy, But we have not loved You. You constantly call us, but we are slow to listen.

You ask us to love, but we walk away from neighbors in need, wrapped in our own concerns. We condone evil, prejudice, warfare, and greed.

God of grace, as You come to us in mercy, we repent in spirit and in truth.

Grant us, we pray, the grace to die daily to sin and to rise daily to new life in Christ, who lives and reigns with You, and in whose strong name we pray. Amen.

Responsive Assurance of Divine Pardon (1 Peter 3:18)

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous,

that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.

Offertory & Prayer of Thanksgiving

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow, Praise Him, all creatures here below. Praise Him above, ye heavenly host. Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen.

New Testament Lesson                  Revelation 3:7-13                        pew Bible pg. 1029

Responsive Affirmation of Holy Scripture (from Psalm 119:23-24)

Even though princes sit plotting against us, Your servant will meditate on Your statutes.

ALL: Your testimonies are our delight; they are our counselors.
