Responsive Call to Worship    (Psalm 3:1-3,8)

    O LORD, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me;

Many are saying of my soul, "There is no salvation for him in God."

But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.

Salvation belongs to the LORD; your blessing be on your people!

*Hymn #104                       “O Worship the King”                                          Lyons

*Prayer of Adoration

*Affirmation of Faith

In the covenant of life, what did God require Adam to do? To obey God perfectly.

What did God promise in the covenant of life? To reward Adam with life if he obeyed God perfectly.

What did God threaten in the covenant of life? To punish Adam with death if he disobeyed God.

Did Adam keep the covenant of life? No. He sinned against God.

Children’s Message               (ages 3 and Up)

*Hymn #571                          “Trust and Obey”                          Sammis, Towner

Corporate Prayer of Confession with Individual Prayers of Confession

God of the nations, we praise You! For in King Jesus the barriers which

have separated us from You and each other are torn down.

Yet we confess that our hearts toward You have often been divided and

we have been slow to open our hearts and minds to people of other lands,

   tongues, and ethnicities.

Jesus sat with outcasts and sinners like us, yet we often ignore the needy,

show indifference to the lonely, and reject those who seem different from us.

Forgive us, we pray. Stir up our affections for You and our neighbor.

Deliver us from fear and prejudice. Empower us to reach out to others in love

as we have been loved by You. In Your mercy, move us in haste to the day when

we all are truly one in Christ. We pray this in His holy name..

Assurance of Divine Pardon  (Isaiah 43:25)

"I, I am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake, and I will not remember your sins.”

Offertory & Prayer of Thanksgiving

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow, Praise Him, all creatures here below. Praise Him above, ye heavenly host. Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen.

Lesson from the Revelation                  Revelation  6:9-19              pew Bible pg. 1031

Affirmation of Holy Scripture (from Psalm 119:30-31)

We have chosen the way of faithfulness; We set Your rules before us.

We cling to Your testimonies, O LORD; let us not be put to shame!

New Guests We are so glad you are here worshiping the Lord with us. If you will, please fill out an Information Card found in the back, so we can get to know you a little. These can be placed in the offering plate or handed to a Greeter or Pastor John.

Cry Room/Nursery –Please be assured that we do want your children in Worship with Us.  But,  we have now equipped a very pleasant, clean & comfortable “cry room” for families with small children to use as needed.   It is located at the right of the sanctuary and is equipped with everything needed (including Audio) for events happening in the sanctuary. Entry to the room is gained from inside the sanctuary itself or can be accessed through the library.

Ingram Extra - Please join us immediately after service for some refreshments in the Fellowship Hall. This is an informal time to get to know each other better. During this short-time, we usually hear something practical from Pastor John and are able to share our prayer requests together.

The Lord’s Supper - We celebrate the Lord’s Supper each Sunday at Ingram. All who sincerely trust in Jesus Christ and Him alone, for the forgiveness of sin, are invited to partake. Our custom is to distribute the elements processing forward by rows. When everyone is served, then we will take the elements together. For children not yet taking communion, please bring them forward with you so Pastor John may pray for them. If you believe your child is ready to take Communion, please ask Pastor John about the process.

Church Web-site - Please access our website for information about the ministries of Ingram Presbyterian and for access to past sermons.
