*Responsive Call to Worship    (Psalm 47:1-4; 6-8)

Clap your hands, all peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy!

For the LORD, the Most High, is to be feared, a great king over all the earth.

He subdued peoples under us, and nations under our feet.

He chose our heritage for us, the pride of Jacob whom He loves.

God has gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.

Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises!

For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with a psalm!

God reigns over the nations; God sits on His holy throne.

*Hymn #361                         “Worship Christ, the Risen King”

*Prayer of Adoration

*Profession of Faith - The Children’s Catechism #144-146

What happens to believers when they die?

Our bodies will return to the dust and our souls will go to be with the Lord forever.

What happens to unbelievers when they die?

Their bodies will return to dust also, but their souls will go to hell.

   What is hell?

Hell is an awful place, where unbelievers are separated from God to suffer for their sins.

Prophetic Lesson                       Daniel 7:1-28 (see outline for text)

Affirmation of Holy Scripture - Psalm 119:108

Offertory & Prayer of Thanksgiving

Sermon                                             “4 Beasts & the Son of Man’”                             Pastor John Uhl

Confessing Our Need of Christ Together and Individually

Almighty God, who by the resurrection of Your Son, Jesus Christ,

has given eternal life to all who believe in Him

and who has called us to live pure, joyful, and obedient lives.

We confess that we have failed to live as we ought.

We have forgotten Your promises, distrusted Your goodness, and ignored Your commandments.

We are profoundly sorry and earnestly repent.

Please forgive us and revive our hearts

that we might, with steadfast affection,

glorify You in thought, word, and deed,

for the glory of our resurrected Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Assurance of the Lord’s Pardon   (1 Timothy 1:15)

The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance,

that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners,

of whom I am the foremost.

The Bread & The Cup

*Gloria                                                           “Gloria Patri”

   Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, And to the Holy Ghost;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be:

   World without end. Amen.

*Congregational Response                    Three-fold Amen

*You are invited to Stand when prompted by Pastor John.

New Guests - We are so glad to have the privilege of worshiping the Lord with you. Please fill out one of our “Guest Cards” found on the table in the Narthex. This will help us in responding to any of your questions or needs. You can place them in the offertory plate or hand it to our pastor.

The Lord’s Supper - We celebrate the Lord’s Supper every Sunday at Grace Covenant. All who trust in Jesus and Him alone for their salvation are invited to partake. Our custom is to distribute the elements processing forward by rows. After all are served, we then take the elements together. If you have a non-communing child, please bring them forward with you so Pastor John may pray for them. If you believe your child is ready to take Communion, please ask our Pastor about the process.

Cry Room - This special room is located in the back of the sanctuary should you have need. It is well appointed with the option to clearly hear the service.

Ingram Extra - Join us after service in the Fellowship Hall for refreshment. If you would like, Pastor John will lead a small discussion at the couches in the FH. Our theme topic this Spring is Personal Eschatology.
